Remote working in your pajamas from the sofa is great… until you start talking to your plants and realize you haven’t been outside in three days. In the heart of Madrid, the home office doesn’t have to be a lonely experience.
Our philosophy is clear: we turn off the digital noise at home to go out, reclaim the old custom of gathering, and share a table. Luckily, in Chueca we have plenty of aesthetic terraces and cafés where you can open your laptop, order a specialty coffee (or a glass of wine, depending on your day), and spend the morning working surrounded by like-minded people. These are our trusted safe havens:
1. Coco Social House (The Aesthetic Refuge)
📍 Calle de la Justa | WiFi: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Plugs: Yes
This had to be our number one. If you’re looking for inspiration, natural light, and meticulously curated design, Coco Social House is the ultimate oasis. It’s the unofficial morning meeting point for our Sapphic Tribe. Order their avocado toast, open your Mac, and enjoy an atmosphere where organic networking with the tables next to you happens naturally.
2. Mercado de San Antón Rooftop Terrace
📍 Calle de Augusto Figueroa, 24 | WiFi: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Plugs: Limited
Hidden above the market is one of the best terraces to sit down with your laptop. Forget the typical noisy bar terrace: in the mornings (before lunchtime) it’s a peaceful haven, boasting incredible light and that local neighborhood vibe that makes you feel accompanied without being overwhelmed. The best part? If your work morning extends, you don’t even have to move—you have the best food stalls just one floor down.
💻 Remote working in Chueca and want to make friends?
Don’t be the digital nomad who spends all day alone. At Pride Chueca we’ve created a private group where we let each other know which terrace we’re working from today, so we can share a table, grab a coffee together, and build a community.

📍 Calle de San Gregorio, 8 | WiFi: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Plugs: Yes (indoors)
Frida is like that reliable friend who never lets you down: always welcoming and in good taste. The terrace is small but charming. We love it because it doesn’t feel like a “makeshift office,” but rather a beautiful café where you can write emails uninterrupted with a slice of homemade cake by your side.
4. La Revoltosa (The Soul of the Square)
📍 Plaza del Rey, 4 | WiFi: ⭐⭐⭐ | Plugs: Not on the terrace
La Revoltosa is an undeniable classic: half traditional Madrid tavern, half modern café. Its terrace in Plaza del Rey is spacious and perfect for opening your laptop without feeling cramped. It’s the ideal spot when you want to work but need to feel the pulse of the city in the background; that constant hum of Madrid that acts as white noise. Warning: from 1:00 PM onwards, the vibe shifts towards tapas—close your laptop and order a draft beer!
5. Federal Café (The Nomad Bonus Track)
📍 Plaza de las Comendadoras, 9 (Conde Duque) | WiFi: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Plugs: Yes
Okay, technically it’s crossing the border from Malasaña towards Conde Duque, but it’s close enough to Chueca, and its nomad culture makes it well worth adding to the route. It’s incredibly spacious, super bright, and the large communal tables are always full of laptops and creatives. If you need lightning-fast WiFi and a hearty brunch to survive an intensive workday, this is your temple.
