PrideChueca grants two kinds of mark in the Chueca neighbourhood of Madrid. The marble plaques distinguish the venues that look after the community, and each one carries its own name. The first is called Raíz — Spanish for “Root” — because that’s where it all began. The emblems are numbered, single-edition pieces, given in gratitude to the people who hold up the Tribe. None of them is for sale, inherited, or transferred. This Archive is the only official record of either.
The Marble Plaques
Each plaque marks a venue in the neighbourhood that looks after the Tribe, and carries its own name.

The Emblems
One hundred numbered emblems, 001 through 100. The mold was destroyed once they were cast. They are not sold, not gifted, not transferred. They are granted in gratitude, and only the number is recorded here — never the name.

Their names appear in no public record. If you ever recognize one at a bar, you already know what it means.
The ninety-six that remain are waiting for whoever earns them.
Notes
What is Raíz?
Raíz is the first plaque in The Archive: a piece of marble with gold lettering installed at Mala Mujer, in Chueca, for being the first venue to open its doors to the Tribe. Every future plaque will carry its own name too — never a serial number.
Can the emblems or plaques be bought?
No. Neither the emblems nor the plaques are for sale, gifted, or transferred. The mold for each emblem is destroyed once it’s cast, and the only way to appear in this Archive is to be nominated for holding up the Tribe.
How is an emblem’s authenticity verified?
Every emblem awarded is logged here by its number. The identity of who receives it is never made public — if you need to confirm the authenticity of a specific one, contact PrideChueca directly.
