On October 8th, we celebrated the eighth anniversary of You and Me. A party to honor eight years of existence, creating a gathering space whose absence would be truly hard to fill if it didn’t exist. You and Me is that light and welcoming place where you can simply drop in and be yourself. It’s a nightclub where presence is everything—it doesn’t need to dictate a rhythm, because the character of the venue allows you to be and exist without pretenses, leaving you with the impression that this is your place from the moment you arrive. That welcome was amplified by the fact that it was a day of celebration, and those present let themselves be carried by the flow and, for a few hours, lived fully in You and Me.

The event reminded us why You and Me has lasted eight years. It shows us how a party venue can eclipse its own drinks and music. The melodies captivate you, the drinks embrace you, and yet they are secondary characters in the stories created there. There comes a moment when you realize You and Me is that place where people want to be, and everything else—despite how good it is—feels small in comparison to its presence.
I don’t want to get lost in sensations, so let’s talk about the event. The anniversary celebration was exceptional. In my case, it was the first year I had the honor of attending, so I can’t compare it to previous ones. It began with ambient music—soft, subtle. The DJ knew exactly what needed to happen at that moment. The arrivals, the first conversations, the introductions… it was a time to be, to settle in, to connect. That’s why the music, special but not intrusive, stepped aside to let the atmosphere warm up. These were the moments to order the first drinks, served by exquisite and extraordinarily kind bartenders, so I take this opportunity to thank that central axis of good vibes that they help generate. A staff whose presence doesn’t always get the applause, but who deserve recognition and gratitude for their attitude and service as the unsung heroes of these gatherings.
The afternoon gradually turned into evening. It unfolded between a catering service with carefully selected food and continuous attention from our heroes, punctuated by the sonic frequencies of a DJ who knew how to read the energy and dominant mood. And just like that, without realizing it, we were all fully immersed in the early night, listening to music that already invited us to dance. A style leaning toward electronic, occasionally interrupted by a modern-toned flamenco that encouraged dancing and fun, breaking the usual pattern. It’s worth noting that You and Me offered absolutely everything included—food and drinks alike. And as if that weren’t enough, they gifted all attendees a perfume developed specifically for the event’s guests. A fragrance that, in my personal taste, was excellent, with citrus notes as the dominant tone. Since I love photography, I placed the perfume on one of the glass shelves and took advantage of the venue’s excellent lighting to create this photo, which I believe summarizes everything better than I could.
